What is market capitalization?

In regard to the stock market, the value of a company that is traded on the stock market, calculated by multiplying the total number of shares by the present share price.  In other words, "market capitalization" refers to the total dollar market value of a company's outstanding shares. Commonly referred to as "market cap". In regard to cryptocurrency, it is a similar concept.  It is calculated by multiplying a company's coins outstanding by the current market price of one coin.
